I have been looking for the materials to use for this series for a long time. Their adventurous fates have been built into the jewellery. The ebony survived a big fire in a wood-yard in Helsinki, the oak was part of an old ship resting at the bottom of the sea for five hundred years.
The centrepiece of the ring with the mammoth-bone was buried deep beneath the surface of the Earth for twelve thousands years, as testified by the engraving.
To me, these objects are condensed time.
The series was selected for the final exhibition of the competition for the Hungarian Design Award 2005.
