FOREST

An endless shelter, a cool canopy, a green cathedral. When I arrive, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. I love it in the spring when the tender green buds unfurl into perfect little leafy bushes, and all is filled with the raucous song of nesting birds. It's like walking under a silk shawl draped with tiny bright emeralds. On hot summer days, I'm soothed by the shimmering green twilight, and in autumn I can't get enough of the colours and flavours. In the forest habitat, there is an invisible bond between saplings and ancient trees, mushrooms, and all living and dead beings of the forest. I evoke these memories in my jewellery, trying to bring into our everyday lives the shades of pale purple mushroom shells on the decaying stumps, the chirping of birds in the canopy, the tart flavours of blackthorn, blackberry and rosehip.
